Feet are incredibly important to a healthy active lifestyle and pain free professional life to get the most out of life. If you havn't been to us before then don't be afraid, its painless and satisfying to walk out feeling like you're floating on air!
My interest in Podiatry began 10 years ago when I was treated by a Podiatrist in Christchurch for sore feet that developed from rigorous basketball training and doing distance running.
I enjoy practicing all aspects of podiatry and have worked in several rural clinics around New Zealand where I treated a wide range of skin and nail conditions, performed minor surgeries on plantar warts and ingrown toenails, assessed high risk diabetic patients and also treated active people with injuries.
I've always had an interest in the human body and how it performs. Prior to studying my Bachelor of Health Science in Podiatry I completed a Certificate in Gym Instructing and Personal Training through the New Zealand College of Fitness. I also spent three years working within the sports shoe industry and have a particular interest in footwear. I'm excited to be back in Auckland and helping to keep people moving pain free.
Preeti's love for Podiatry started after she had a realisation of how essential your feet and legs are for everyday life. "Our feet and lower limb's are often neglected with our busy schedules and demanding lifestyles and it's not until things go wrong that we realise their importance". This gives her immense daily job satisfaction and motivation. She is committed to being the best podiatrist she can be and is currently completing her Masters in Podiatry.
Skin and nail pathologies can be particularly limiting to daily activities, whether it's problem nails or thickened skin. She's focused on relieving your pain and then tailoring a plan to fix the source of the problem long term. She also enjoys making people feel better about their feet, this is where her 'medical pedicure' comes into action.
In her spare time, you'll find her with her dog exploring new walking areas, indulging in her love for footwear and travelling. English is her first language but she is also fluent in Hindi and Punjabi.
