What is a podiatrist?

Podiatrists are highly trained health professionals whose total training focuses on the foot, ankle and related body systems.

Their training sees them obtain a Bachelor of Health Science, a 3 year course.

To be called a podiatrist you must also be registered with the New Zealand Podiatry Board and must meet regular standards to maintain a practising certificate.
